Best brake I have ever used

These brakes replaced a set of SRAM Code Stealth Silver brakes that came on a Hightower. While the Codes had plenty of power, the modulation wasn't great.

The MT7s were super easy to install. They come with something like a 2m cable, so both had to be cut down. On the front I was able to cut and reinstall the cable without having to bleed at all. On the rear brake I had to install a syringe up front with a bit of oil to work out a few bubbles. Probably less than an hour for the full swap.

Modulation is better than the codes, and the lever-feel is excellent. The full kit is 1/4 lb lighter than the codes, with most of the weight savings on the bar. I'm using them with Sram lightweight 1.8mm 180 centerlock rotors. No issues with brake-fade or rotor heating.

Absolutely no regrets on the purchase, particularly at this price.

nightmare

This product has been a nightmare since day one. 30 hours of riding and I've put in 10 hours of trying to fix the brakes. Then I call them to see about RMA, and the guy gold me not only does Magura not service/RMA, no one in the bike industry, nor anyone in the computer industry, nor anyone in the electronics industry does that. I was so dumbfounded at the level of condescending stupidity I just gave up entirely. Got rid of my MT7s and will be recommending no one I come across to use this brand.
