Pedals Favero Assioma Duo-Shimano
Made for Shimano road compatibility Assioma DUO-Shi is designed for users who are loyal to the Shimano road standard, as it offers the option of continuing to ride with their Shimano pedal bodies without having to give up the reliability and precision of Assioma. installation into your Shimano pedal bodies Installing Assioma DUO-Shi into your compatible Shimano pedal bodies is quick and easy. Assioma DUO-Shi is compatible with the following Shimano® pedal bodies: PD-R8000, PD-R7000, PD-6800, PD-R550 and PD-R540. The Q-factor of Assioma Look® version is +54mm, while that of Assioma DUO-Shi measures +64mm with PD-R7000/R550/R540 pedal bodies and +65mm with PD-R8000/6800. Despite an initial hesitancy related to increasing the Q-factor, we decided to proceed with the design anyway, taking into consideration that our body size (weight, pelvis width, etc.) is a subjective factor that can help determine what Q-factor is best for each of us.
Axioma installs and moves from bike to bike like an ordinary pedal: in minutes, without special tools or assistance from a mechanic. Assioma features the advanced IAV Cycling Dynamics metrics: IAV Power Phase and IAV Rider Position. These metrics, along with classic power data, allow detailed analysis of pedaling technique and how the rider's position on the bike affects performance. Unlike others, Assioma's measurements are not affected by errors related to very irregular pedaling (e.g., uphill sprints) or the use of oval crowns. This is because Assioma is capable of detecting the actual instantaneous angular velocity of pedaling, thus guaranteeing you the degree of accuracy of ±1 in every situation. Not just in the lab. Assioma is equipped with Bluetooth and ANT+ technology, this allows secure data transmission to cyclocomputers and Android and iOS smartphones. The data provided by Assioma DUO-Shi is based on real measurements: taken separately on the left and right side; this allows us to accurately observe not only total power, but also Sx/Dx balance, torque efficiency (TE), pedaling uniformity (PS), etc. Thanks also to ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation), Assioma ensures not only accuracy but also repeatability and consistency (consistency) of measurements under real road use conditions and at any temperature between -10°C and 60°C. Protected by a two-component resin block, the power meter sensor is extremely impact resistant and completely waterproof.
Axioma is the only pedal-mounted power meter for road with built-in rechargeable batteries; a single charge provides at least 50 hours of use. Favero Electronics manufactures each power meter in its own facility in Italy and tests its proper functioning individually through stringent laboratory tests, abundantly meeting the standards required by current regulations.
