New spokes and hubs give the Mavic Cosmic SL 40 wheels a light and lively feel for climbing and acceleration. The rim is designed with a deep 40 mm NACA rim profile and a width of 26 mm, specifically designed for all-round performance on flat or hilly terrain. The new rim bed shape makes it easier than ever to mount tubeless and tube-type tires. Riding UST Tubeless means no inner tube, so no friction and more air volume means a smoother ride. The result is a faster ride with extremely low rolling resistance. The refined spokes make this wheelset 80 g lighter than its predecessor, the Cosmic Pro Carbon UST. Combined with our brand new Infinity hub platform, which makes the wheels feel fast and responsive in every corner, they are stiffer and more efficient.
These wheels are designed, engineered, and patented by Mavic in Annecy, France, and are 100% handmade in our European carbon factory.
