The Salopette 2.0 is an evolution, an improved version of the existing Wolf Salopette, with a new construction to increase comfort during training. Q36.5 has developed a new system for the risers. The anti-stress panel was introduced in the genital area to relieve pressure and increase mobility.
For the most competitive cyclists, the seasons (which are not those of the races) are nothing but a moment of waiting. Frequent photos portraying professionals while training in the Canary Islands, in Mallorca or in Qatar can make people think - erroneously - that the agonistic season is just around the corner. The professionals in the saddle wear shorts, knee pads or leggings. Arrived at the bar, proclaim to the world: "I am a runner, my tights are not wearing it! "The tactile feel of your tights is light years away from the" tender feeling "of your favorite shorts (to learn more about winter tights - a real racing weapon - see the page dedicated to the Long Salopette). So you insist on wearing shorts with braces and leggings up to the limit of thermal comfort, 7 °, 6 °, 5 ° C, just to keep the sense of waiting high, to get the look of who is ready to enter the race ...
If you are able to understand these delusions and this passion, you will also understand the reason why there is the Salopette Wolf, the new thermal shorts of Q36.5.
This is not the classic product made with winter fabrics like Roubaix microfibre or similar. Instead it is the Salopette Gregarius Q36.5 rebuilt with a high-density avant-garde fabric made on Lake Como *. The product keeps the body warm with temperatures between 5 and 15 ° C, also protecting from rain, while weighing only 180g (or less - probably - of your favorite shorts). The "race feeling" is the true essence of a crossover product, which not only allows you to maintain high intensity during the winter (just like the Long Salopette L1), but also to improve comfort and performance in other conditions, such as Cyclocross races, mountain biking in the first weeks of summer in wetlands, races in cooler weather or bad weather, and so on.
It would be easy to illustrate the characteristics of the UF Hybrid Shell fabric talking about the use of silver or bio-ceramic threads, or the extraordinary water-repellent treatment of the threads before fabric production (to avoid altering the natural breathability of the fabric). But the real uniqueness lies in the high-density weaving techniques, which Q36.5 has employed before anyone else in cycling apparel, to such an extent that it has become a sort of invisible signature of the entire collection.
Exploiting the technological limits of high density weaving, Q36.5 is able to produce an extremely compact outer layer that repeats the windproof characteristics of a double layer shell fabric, without the use of a membrane, to then preserve the exceptional natural breathability of the fabric. The surface is very compact and is presented as a very small volume fabric. Furthermore, it increases the effectiveness of the water-repellent treatment by conferring anti-wind properties above a knitted fabric with a water-repellent treatment. The inner layer is fleece for greater thermal protection.
